Traditionally the 25th year anniversary is regarded as an auspicious and prime time to a Thai person. This important milestone signifies the person having reached maturity and is ready to go through the time of increasing challenges. 2010 marks Erawan 25th year anniversary. Indeed we are now at our prime time on business operation and are ready to meet new business challenges. Our heart and mind are full of enthusiasm and optimism for the way forward.

Our business operation involves provision of farm inputs in the form of products and services to growers primarily for their food production. Basically our business revolves around two key activities namely crop physiological improvement and crop protection management. More recently we have extended our business further to embrace the development and distribution of high quality seeds.

To accommodate increasing demand on space and anticipated growth on business a new site, annexed to the current one has been developed. Apart from new office building, quality control laboratories, training and meeting halls and cafeteria the new site also caters for three large modern warehouses and an area consolidated for production activities. The combined size of the two sites, occupying the total area of 20 acres, is now probably one of the largest developed agrochemicals plants in the country. Agriculture will continue to be of prime important to Thailand in the foreseeable future. On a longer term the future of Thailand agriculture appears to be bright and promising . Growing world population ensures the world will continue to need more food supply to feed its ever growing population and to alleviate hunger and famine. Increased demand on bio fuel and gasohol means farmers need to produce more and fundamentally improving their farm productivity. Agrochemical products have been and will continue to play an important role in providing solutions to farmers for their management of crop protection problems and improvement on plant vigour. Our commitment to Thailand agricultural is firm. We are determined to continue working alongside the Thai farmers, providing them with support on essential farm inputs of high quality products and new technology. Our ultimate goal is to help farmers increase their farm production that would consequently bring about improvement in their quality of life, their families and their farming communities.

Turning the clock back for almost 50 years we began as a small family style business in the Riverine market, an early develop agricultural area west of Bangkok. Our initial business included limited supply of fertilizer and crop protection chemicals to farmers. The green revolution around late sixties/early seventies that brought about new technology e.g.high yielding varieties of rice, improved irrigation system and crop protection solutions gave rise to significant improvement in agricultural production and farming success. In the process we are proud of our contribution to farmers with our high quality products for crop protection management and plan physiological improvement.

The net result from the adoption of modern technology has enabled Thailand to become the world’s largest exporter of rice, cassava, rubber and pineapple. We are proud to be part of this success, not only in the area of increasing production output and improved national economy but also in the improved quality of life of farmers, their children and the farming communities brought about by improved farm income. Our operation has grown from a small family style business with a handful of staff and now comprises a group of four companies. We operate a team of about 50 agronomists, earnestly rendering services to distributors and end users. To meet with increasing demand from a wider range of crops and crop protection requirements our product portfolio has been significantly expanded.
